Article Abstract

Letter to the Editor

Sir: We are pleased to reply to the letters sent to you by Dr. Saporta and Drs. Plakun and Shapiro concerning the issue of treatment selection for posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) as reported in the Expert Consensus Guidelines. Dr. Saporta as well as Drs. Plakun and Shapiro have expressed concerns about why psychodynamic psychotherapy was not rated among the first-line treatments for PTSD.
