Sir: My colleagues and I thank Dr. Mackin for pointing outthis inconsistency. The quetiapine data that have often beenadded to discussions and presentations of the Allison et al.1meta-analysis, and that were added to the figure we used, arederived from 6-week data from pooled quetiapine clinical trialsdescribed in a poster by Jones et al.2 These 6-week data aresimilar to longer-term pooled weight gain data for quetiapinefrom that same poster.’ ‹
