Sir: Risperidone is a benzisoxazole derivative antipsychoticagent with serotonin 5-HT2 and dopamine D2 antagonistic properties.During premarketing evaluation of this compound, diminishedsexual desire, erectile dysfunction, and orgasmic dysfunctionwere noted in at least 5% of patients.1 In addition,product information lists dysuria and other urinary difficultiesamong risperidone’s adverse events.
