Corrections

In the letter “Manic Psychosis and Auditory Hallucinations Following Traumatic Brain Injury in a 13-Year-Old Boy” by Mehdi Bennouna-Greene, MD, and colleagues in the April 2010 issue (J Clin Psychiatry 2010;71[4]:506-507), Dr Bennouna-Greene’s name should have been hyphenated.

In the article, “Improvement of Negative and Positive Symptoms in Treatment-Refractory Schizophrenia: A Double-Blind, Randomized, Placebo-Controlled Trial With Memantine as Add-On Therapy to Clozapine” by David de Lucena, MD, and colleagues in the October 2009 issue (J Clin Psychiatry 2009;70[10]:1416-1423), the data points representing memantine and placebo were transposed in Figure 3B. The mean MMSE score for memantine is 22.30 at baseline and 28.20 at week 12; the mean MMSE score for placebo is 24.73 at baseline and 23.73 at week 12.

In the article, “Olanzapine-Divalproex Combination Versus Divalproex Monotherapy in the Treatment of Bipolar Mixed Episodes: A Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled Study” by John P. Houston, MD, PhD, and colleagues in the November 2009 issue (J Clin Psychiatry 2009;70[11]:1540-1547), data for an adverse event were omitted in Table 3 on page 1545—6 patients (5.9%) taking olanzapine plus divalproex and 1 patient (1.0%) taking placebo plus divalproex (P = .118) experienced peripheral edema.

In the article, “A Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled Study of Armodafinil for Excessive Sleepiness in Patients With Treated Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Comorbid Depression” by Andrew D. Krystal, MD, and colleagues in the January 2010 issue (J Clin Psychiatry 2010;71[1]:32-40), 2 corrections are necessary: Dr Yang’s name in the byline on page 32 should be without a middle initial, ie, Ronghua Yang, PhD, and, on page 37, the first number below 0 on the Y axis in Figure 3 should be -1.0.

In the article “An 8-Week, Double-Blind, Randomized, Placebo-Controlled Study of Olanzapine Long-Acting Injection in Acutely Ill Patients With Schizophrenia” by John Lauriello, MD, and colleagues in the May 2008 issue (J Clin Psychiatry 2008;69[5]:790-799), the unit of measure for Bazett’s QTc interval on page 795 (last sentence) and page 796 (first line) should have been milliseconds.
