Article Abstract

From our regular book review column.

The first edition of this handbook was based on the very successful
Clinical Handbook of Psychotropic Drugs by the same
editors, currently in its 17th edition. It gave a concise overview
of child psychiatric disorders and treatment, followed by a series
of chapters describing the different drug classes, including
indications for use, available drug strengths, dosing, pharmacokinetics,
adverse effects, contraindications, and even a chapter
on herbal products. It stood out thanks to its format, ease of use,
and practicality.
