Article Abstract

Letter to the Editor

Sir: I very much appreciate the opportunity to reply to the thoughtful and accurate comments of Dr. Berigan. He commented that my letter with Dr. Bennett1 reported "possibly . . . the first patients treated with sildenafil for antidepressant-induced sexual dysfunction." This may in fact be true since there is a lag time from patient trial to preparing a manuscript and subsequently achieving publication. The psychiatric literature is now reporting increasing numbers of patients receiving sildenafil to treat antidepressant-induced sexual dysfunction.
